You can delete your SideOut account and its data at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. Both routes delete the same things.
Your account and the data below are removed straight away.
Email sideout@fluxdevelopments.co.uk from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my SideOut account”.
We'll confirm and delete within 30 days, usually much sooner. We only use the email you send from to find the account, and we delete your message once it's done.

| Matches other people played in with you | The match itself stays on the phones of the other players, because it's their result too. Your name is removed from it. |
| Clubs, teams and sessions you created | These stay so the club keeps working for everyone else in it. They are no longer linked to you. |
| Comments you posted in a club session | Kept as part of that club's thread, no longer linked to your account. Ask us if you'd like them removed too. |
Nothing kept can be traced back to you — it holds no name, email or account reference. Routine encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle, after which no copy remains.
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove something. Each of these can be done in the app, on your own, at any time:

| Your membership of a club or team | Clubs → pick the club → Leave club. Your replies and notes for that club go with it |
| A comment you posted | Open the session → press and hold your comment → Delete |
| A friend connection | Friends → tap the person → Remove friend |
For anything not listed — or if you can't open the app — email sideout@fluxdevelopments.co.uk saying what you'd like removed, from the address on your account. We'll confirm and delete within 30 days, usually much sooner. Your account stays open and everything else is untouched.
